I Fought Obesity And Lost 58 Pounds In Less Than 3 Months
My name is Dianne Gladens, I’m 28 years old and I have an obesity issue. I am very excited that I have a story to tell about my weight loss.
I’ve always been an overweight person, but after I got married and I was born two children, I got to grade III obesity, 260 pounds to 5.5 feet.
Grade III Obesity
Staying home with the kids, I did nothing but eat all day thinking about what to cook, what food to buy.
I really exaggerated with sweets and baked food. I was aware that I must do something, but I felt that I’m not ready for the diet.
Every Monday morning I said: “Okay, starting today“, but never succeeded.
For Christmas in 2011, I visited a cousin (she has weight problems too) who told me that she made an appointment with a nutritionist.
I was very skeptical because I was thinking that if I go talk to him, that won’t cut my appetite for sweets. But still, I said, “Do me an appointment“.
From Christmas 2011 until 20 January 2012, I had time to prepare myself mentally for what was to happen.
The day before the appointment I was very undecided whether to go or not. I went. I was expecting to see 260 pounds on the scale and grade III obesity.
Obesity Fight
My doctor recommended a protein diet based on lean meats and vegetables, 3 meals and nothing between meals, at least 2 liters of water a day, and at least an hour walk every day.
The next day, Friday, January 21, I started the diet. The first 3 days were horrible for me. I suffered physically and mentally, but my husband helped me to get over.
We started walking, I set a route to walk every night, regardless of weather conditions.
After 2 weeks, I went to the first control. I’ve lost 14 pounds. After another 4 weeks, I got rid of 20 pounds in the fat mass. Then after 4 more weeks, I managed to shed off another 24 pounds.
The result was amazing: less than 58 pounds in two months and a half, and it was a healthy weight loss.
The doctor told me: “Because you are young, your skin will look good and will not have problems“.
I am now 200 pounds and still follow this diet to get to 150 pounds (ideal weight for my height and age). I feel great and wanted to share it with everyone.
