2. Raspberry Avocado Smoothie
It sounds odd to blend an avocado in a healthy summer smoothie (what’s so summery about avocado, am I right?), but the raspberries have such a strong flavour that you won’t even feel the avocado. It will only serve to give your smoothie a lovely rich, creamy texture, and an extra boost of healthy fats, vitamins and fiber.
Ingredients:
– One pitted and peeled avocado;
– ¾ cup cranberry juice;
– ¾ cup raspberry juice (any juice will do, really, but this adds to that raspberry-ness we love);
– ½ cup fresh raspberries.
Blend, blend, blend, and this healthy summer smoothie is ready. If you want this to be a cold treat, you can keep the juice in your freezer for a few hours beforehand.
